After catching each other’s eye at a concert, Fleur and Julian fall madly in love. When Julian soon proposes, Fleur, a journalist, devises an ambitious plan to get married in all the countries where they, as two women, are legally allowed. From Brussels to New York, each ceremony becomes a jubilant act of optimism and a defiant protest against inequality – until a devastating revelation painfully interrupts their plans.
